A workshop to the basics of the Mexican craft technique Nierkia to create beautiful yarn paintings!
Join instructor Carolina Borja for an hour-long introduction to the Mexican craft technique known as nierika. You will create your own personal and contemporary interpretation of the iconic Huichol yarn paintings. Together we will come up with a narrative and you will adapt your own vision to the yarn painting project. This technique uses glue, yarn and scissors to cover wooden boards (materials will be provided).
Open to children and adults of any age. Registration fee includes the cost of materials.
