14th Annual CANstruction: Creative Structures Built from Canned Goods to Benefit Houston Food Bank
Houston area architects, engineers, designers, construction firms, and schools come together to build giant structures out of canned goods to benefit the Houston Food Bank. Previous creative structures include an octopus, house, hot air balloon, and cartoon characters. Stop by to donate a can of food and to vote for your favorite entry! Besides Public Favorite, other award categories include Structural Ingenuity, Best Meal, and Best Use of Labels. Awards will be posted Friday, November 12th.
Last year, the event generated over 50,000 cans of food for the Houston Food Bank. The Canstruction competition currently takes place in over 100 cities internationally.
Event sponsored by the Houston chapter of SDA (Society for Design Administration). For more information, please visit www.canstruction-houston.com or find us on Facebook!
