Our Roots Tejas Grill & Sports Bar (TGSB), located in Downtown Houston, is owned by George Carameros. Plans for this sports bar began in 2010. The plan was to create a sports bar where the downtown business person can enjoy in a southern casual environment. Tejas’ menu would be a mix of burgers, unique appetizers, Tex-Mex, and soups/salads. George has owned and operated another successful downtown restaurant, Don Patron (1993-2016). For over 20 years, Don Patron served the best Tex-Mex in downtown Houston, today this tradition is carried on through Tejas. Who We Are TGSB is downtown Houston’s premier Sports Bar. We serve the finest Certified Angus burgers, specialty sandwiches, house smoked wings with your choice of our many sauces, Certified Angus fajitas, Certified Angus steaks, and salads. TGSB caters to the downtown business person’s need for a high quality lunch in a timely fashion. Whether you are a sports fan, business professional on lunch break, or both, we have the ambiance for you. We have over 40 choices of beer including 23 draft beers, of which, 12 are brewed here in Houston. Some of our draft beer options change depending on the availability of seasonal beers.
