MFAH Mixed Media Designed by IKEA transforms the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, into a multisensory experience featuring high-energy live music and DJs with cocktails and dancing, in an event space designed by IKEA Houston. Partygoers are invited to stroll the museum galleries and visit food trucks parked at the museum.
In celebration of Halloween, each of the first 100 guests in the door receives a complimentary wig from RockStar Wigs. Wear your new headdress throughout the party and for Smilebooth photos that you can share instantly via six social networks. Additional wigs will be available for everyone to try on in the Smilebooth. Adding to the fun, local salons will style over-the-top wigs to be revealed in a unique presentation by Lenny Matuszewski and Tamara Bonar with models from Neal Hamil Agency. Apparel provided by Dillard’s.
Headline DJ is Rewards (DFA Records, NYC) aka Aaron Pfenning (formerly of Chairlift). The party also includes the band Night Drive performing live; featured DJ Fredster; and the resident DJ, Ceeplus Bad Knives. Music is curated by Reprogram Multimedia. The official beer is Stella Artois. Lighting, sound and staging are provided by PRO/SOUND. Artist sponsor is Neuro.
