Houston Pride in fact runs for an entire month, usually commencing in May, the main celebrations happen over a weekend in June.
And Houston Pride must be doing something right, it is attended by an enormous 700,000 people each year.
Like all pride events, Gay Pride Houston celebrates the ideal of equality and acceptance.
The activities will include national and local performers and, of course, the massive finale parade through downtown.
