Description
Reach for the Stars Evening
Event Details
It is our pleasure to invite you to Hope Center Houston's fourth annual gala honoring Commissioner and Mrs. Jack Cagle. Our Reach for the Stars event will be held on Thursday, October 17, 2019 at 6:00 p.m. at Shirley Acres located at 271 Woerner Road, Houston, TX 77090.
This evening is a wonderful way to join with friends and colleagues to support Hope Center Houston, a 501(c)(3) organization. Hope Center Houston opened its doors on August 29, 2016 to offer critically needed, basic human services to homeless men and women in northwest Harris County, a population often overlooked.
We are excited about the tremendous strides made the past three years, including our recent move to a beautiful facility on Peakwood Drive, located near HCA Houston Healthcare Northwest. Hope Center Houston offers services weekdays from 9am to 3pm. Our compassionate care includes breakfast, lunch, laundry, showers, clothing, life skill classes, weekly chapel services, a full-time chaplain, shelter in inclement weather, and more.
Additionally, we connect guests to case workers providing job search and housing assistance, as well as mental health providers and support groups offering a holistic approach to those in crisis. This broad spectrum of services is provided primarily by volunteers logging about 1800 hours a month while serving an average of 50 guests per day.
Despite our best efforts, opportunities to serve those experiencing homelessness are numerous and Hope Center Houston needs your support.
