Description
4th Annual New Year's Eve Brunch
Event Details
I am excited to announce the 4th Annual New Year's Eve Brunch will be held again at the Ensemble Theater Sunday, December 29th, 2019 from 11am-2pm! Technically, it's a 'pre' New Year's Eve Brunch!
Date: Sunday, December 29, 2019
Time: 11a-2pm
Location: The Ensemble Theatre
3535 Main St.
Attire: Formal Purple & Pearls
Host: Jai Pierre Raven Mistress of Ceremony: Andonnia Maiben
In NYE Brunch tradition, I have the honor of bringing guest Panelists who are experts in their fields to tackle a topic that is affecting Black women. This year's theme is Heal The Black Woman Part II: Protecting our Girls and Women. In the wake of the revival of the #MeToo movement, the establishment of #TimesUp and the Netlfix film series that left us shook: Surviving R. Kelly - it is imperative that we do not allow this issue facing our community to be swept under the rug, again.
This is also a special occasion because a portion of the proceeds will benefit the non-profit organization, Healthy Women Houston. Healthy Women Houston (HWH) is a collaboration of Avenue 360 Health & Wellness, Community Health Choice, The Council on Recovery, Harris County Domestic Violence Coordinating Council, Interfaith Ministries for Greater Houston, Memorial Hermann Health System, and other community partners formed to address the rising rate of maternal mortality and morbidity in the Houston area.
So get dressed up in your purple and pearls and get ready to be surrounded by positive vibes, entertained, and empowered to do more. Men are encouraged to attend.
