At Saint Arnold, we are passionate about animal rescue, and we often partner with local rescue organizations. Here in Houston, that’s our friends at BARC.
Event Details
We have hosted four Pup Crawls (pun intended) to gather the folks who drink our beer (you!) and their furry friends. It’s a fun way to present a check to BARC and enjoy a few beers at the beautiful Houston Arboretum & Nature Center.
On Sunday, March 8, we will be hosting our 5th Annual Pup Crawl. Obviously, you can bring man’s best friend. Aside from that, things are a bit different from our people Pub Crawls. Here’s how it will work:
You’ll purchase a ticket in advance. Of each $30 ticket, half of the proceeds will go to the Houston Arboretum and the other half will benefit BARC. On the day of the Pup Crawl, come out to the Arboretum, and we’ll give you a punch card. From there, there will be four stops to visit along the nature trail, and you can crawl to them in any order you choose. Children can attend, and those under 21 do not require a ticket.
Along the way, there will be plenty of beer for you, as well as water and other goodies for your pup. When you arrive at the last stop, you’ll receive a commemorative pint glass and enjoy some beer in the great outdoors. Food trucks will be on site, along with a bunch of local vendors for a Pet Expo. BARC will be there with dogs available for adoption, so you could leave with more dogs than you started with!
There will be parking at the Arboretum for $1.00/hour (free for Arboretum members).
You are welcome to bring multiple dogs. All dogs do need to be on a leash during their time inside the grounds of Memorial Park and the Arboretum. Lawn chairs are welcome as well, as seating will be limited on the trail and at the final stop. This is a rain or shine event. Prepare accordingly – you will be walking through an urban forest!
