Beginning Harp

If it is your dream to play the harp, stop dreaming! This magical instrument can be played for personal enrichment and relaxation or to entertain family and friends. Even students with no musical background can start playing simple, beautiful music. Those with a piano background will start plucking melodies immediately. Beginning harp technique and musical fundamentals will be emphasized. Tunes will be taught by ear. Sheet music and a CD of the tunes will be provided. The last class will comprise a mini-rehearsal and (elective) mini-recital. Therese Honey has been teaching and performing on the harp since 1980 in Houston and across the U.S. Her studio includes adults and children who learn how to play the harp using the Suzuki method and conventional styles.
