HTML (hypertext markup language) defines the structure of a document, the organization of text and images and other individual elements (via tags). CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) defines how these elements are displayed in terms of typography, color, spacing, and so on. Cascading Style Sheets are a vastly useful tool that gives the web author more control over the appearance of a web site, and improve efficiency for both the web browser and the web site designer. This class is an introduction to the basics of CSS, including Inline, Embedded and Linked Styles. Online resources will be referenced. Prior working knowledge of HTML or completion of both Basic Web Authoring and Web Authoring II is required. See LLU Computer Center Class Video.
Computer Center instructors include Bill Stewart, co-founder and director of the LLU Computer Center since 1990. Bill teaches all 8001, 8006 classes as well as several others.
