The ability to persuade others is one of the most valuable skills that you can develop. Everyday, you are faced with the need to persuade others. At work you have to persuade supervisors, co-workers and vendors. At home, you have to persuade family, neighbors, friends, acquaintances etc. Every time that you have to make a request, get approval, gain support or obtain buy-in, you have a chance to persuade. However, most people just tell instead of persuade. In this workshop, learn the two driving forces that influence others, the secret ingredient that makes it difficult for anyone to say no, a five-step strategy for planning your persuasive efforts in advance and how to use the power of visual images and words to make an emotional connection that does the persuading for you. Also learn the importance and process of creating a One-Page Proposal and how to convert it into a persuasive email or elevator speech. NOTE: This class is an excellent follow-up to those who have already taken Five Easy Ways to Get People to See Things Your Way or How to Stop People from Pushing Your Buttons. Materials include slide notes, reflection exercises, sample templates and other learning reinforcement tools.
