In Level II continue to learn basic ASL communication. Course includes sign vocabulary, fingerspelling, numbers and expressive and receptive sign activities as well as the history of ASL and becoming knowledgeable of aspects of Deaf Culture which are an integral part of meaningful language use. ASL II is designed to give students a good basis for signed communication and use of ASL 1. Prerequisite: ASL I. Terold Gallien (MS, Deaf Studies/Deaf Education, Lamar U, 2001) has expertise in multicultural sensitivity and interpersonal communication in culturally diverse settings. He is an experienced counselor in the combined fields of education, public health, and rehabilitation.
